Wellness Wednesday


Webster County Community Hospital will now be offering "Wellness Wednesday!"


Beginning Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 7 AM to 4 PM we are now offering "Wellness Wednesday" the first Wednesday of the month. All year long! No appointment is necessary but you can download the required form in advance.

On "Wellness Wednesday" you can stop in the facility without a physician's order and pay cash at time of service for select discounted testing. These tests cannot be filed through health insurance. We do ask that you present fasting 10 hours. You can drink water and take your medications as scheduled.

Those discounted tests include:

Complete Blood Count (CBC) - $20
Checks for anemia, infection or potential leukemia.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) - $25
Checks for diabetes, liver function, kidney function and electrolyte balance among other things.

Lipid Panel - $20
Checks your cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Hemoglobin A1c - $25
Measures your average blood sugar levels for the past two to three months.

Vitamin D - $25
Vitamin D plays an important role in growth and health of bones and teeth. Low levels can lead to a drop in calcium causing symptoms of weakness, frequent infections, fatigue, aching and pain."

Total Testosterone - $25
Total Testosterone evaluates excess or deficiency related to gonadal functions, adrenal functions and tumor activity. The level may be helpful in men for diagnosis of hypogonadism, hypopituitarism, klinefelter syndrome, and impotence.

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) - $25
High or low levels can indicate hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.

Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) - $25
High levels can indicate prostate cancer in men.

Once the tests are complete they will be mailed to you, as well as accessible on your patient portal. You can access your Patient Portal at "My Care Corner" by going to our website on the left side of the homepage. It will be up to you to share these results with your primary care provider.
